1. Briefly speaking what are the values delivered by the course?

This course is specifically designed for healthcare decision makers and administrators seeking resolutions for optimizing „financial efficiency" along with an increased „satisfaction level" for the patients and the service providers. The modes and methods of „implementing change" in the smaller and bigger healthcare service environments are practiced throughout the course . The methods of dealing with the dilemmas of maintaining all of the above, in a centralized and inefficient system, such as that of Hungary are suggested. Finally, the creation and enhancement of „competitive advantage" are elaborated upon. In this sense the course is also an unquestionable MUST for private Healthcare leaders .

2. If I am NOT currently a Healthcare Decision Maker or Administrator, how can this course help me?

The basic concepts of „Healthcare Quality Management", „Healthcare Marketing Management", „Organizational Behavior and Structure" , „Healthcare Finance and Economics" are reviewed throughout the course from a practical perspective. 3. More specifically in what ways is this course similar or different to any other Healthcare Management Course?

The uniqueness of the course has to do with it's emphasis on interactive „training and development" rather than lecturing. The course aims at equipping participants with the necessary understandings that would aid them in their real life circumstances. All taught concepts are put to practice through detailed project works ensuring that participants gain the needed skills for coping with the complex circumstances in the healthcare environment. There is a possibility extended to the participants to bring with them their own projects as course work.

4. Will this degree bring any advantage for me in the labor market?

The answer is naturally YES . The Hungarian Healthcare system is undergoing a compulsory reform, which means more and more specialized people in the field of management are needed for implementing the reform and later on for managing in the new system. If you are wondering about seeking jobs abroad, definitely a certificate which shows your additional insight on organizational and management issues, is an advantage.

5. I am a PhD student at the Faculty of Medicine. What are the terms and conditions for my participation in the course?

Inorder to support the main purpose of the course, which is aiding the undergoing reform in the area of Healthcare Management and Administration , the designers of the course have found it highly relevant for extending the course to potential future managers and leaders, amongst which the current PhD students enjoy priority. Therefore, the said students may benefit from a 50% discount on the current course fees depending on their category, should the minimum number of 25 participants come together.

6. I am a Medical student. May I also participate in the course?

No. This is a postgraduate level course. Inorder to be able to participate in this course a university degree is essential. However, as of February 2006 a new elective module possibility, under „Healthcare Management" will be available at the Faculty of Business and Economics for Medical as well as Business Management students. 7. I am a non Hungarian, may I also participate in and benefit from this course?

ABSOLUTELY! The participation of non Hungarians provides the necessary diversity for our training targets. This is likewise of added value to foreign participants. Fees for those not working in the Hungarian Healthcare belong to the third category below (under 8).

8. There are three types of study fees for the course. How may I determine my category?

a. If you are a medical administrator, or still an unranked medical doctor / specialist, working in the Hungarian Healthcare Service Organizations or Medical Faculties of Hungary, the fees extended to you are (161.700 forints)

b. If you are a Healthcare Service unit leader, or a ranked medical practitioner working in Hungary, the fees extended to you are (181.500 forints)

c. If you do not fall under the above categories, the fees extended to you are, (201.850 forints)

9. Is there an option to pay the tuition in installments?

There are currently limitations for considering such methods of payment , however a number of such options will be extended for payments in „two installments". If you wish to use this option please write a separate letter of request for our consideration. You will receive an answer within 48 hours as of your request .

11. Should I necessarily transfer the fee before the course begins?

No. „You may pay the fee after application as well".

12. Should I pay a separate fee for the diploma exam?

No.
